Understanding Car Washes
If you want to keep your Free Time don't park in line at a car wash. There are basically two differently unique car wash systems on the market today. One is the,"Touch Free," method that is extremely popular in our area. The basic principle is to use high pressure and acid or alkaline to remove dirt and grime. It is generally more expensive, takes longer, and the results vary depending on condition of vehicle and/or the cleaning equipment. The "Touch Free" style simulates a dishwasher washing dishes.
The second method is the, "Brush Style,"car wash in which it relies on soap and friction to clean. Similar to hand washing dishes with rag and soapy water. The friction material most common in the first brush style washes was monofilament (fishing line) brushes which left deposits (scratches) on vehicle which took hours to rub off. Today's most popular material is an Italian Foam that actually cleans and polishes like a hand washed vehicle. The revolutionary Italian foam wouldn't harm or scratch your vehicles finish. If soap is left on vehicle you don't have to worry, no harm, unlike the touch less wash chemicals that can actually burn off the finish or dull the paint. Midway Bp's soft wash is the exact same one that Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar and Porsche uses in their factories and at their dealerships. Midway BP soft wash uses 2 - 4 times less water and no acid which is better for your car and the environment.
